Taurus and Aquarius compatibility
Taurus and Aquarius share fixed symbolism through commitment to an established preference or principle. Taurus begins with what has proved useful in practice. Aquarius considers the system governing participation. A proposed change can challenge either a dependable routine or a rule someone considers fair.

Taurus's emphasis
Taurus asks what changing the arrangement would cost in daily effort. Experience gives that question substance. Familiarity alone does not show that the current arrangement works equally well for everyone.

Aquarius considers whether another structure would serve the group better. A revised rule can address an overlooked need. The practical work of changing systems also needs an owner.

Two readings of the same moment
Housemates discuss replacing an informal shopping routine with a shared ordering system. One values the flexibility of the existing habit. Another wants purchases and costs to be visible to everyone.
Make the difference specific
Choose a short trial and agree on what it must improve. Include the time required to maintain the system when comparing it with the familiar routine.
Both themes can belong to one person
An Aquarius Sun with a Taurus Moon can support a new principle while finding comfort in existing habits. Changing an opinion and adjusting daily life can proceed at different speeds.
In a two-chart reading, keep each planet attached to its owner. A Sun-Moon contact compares personal direction with emotional needs. A Venus-Mars contact compares affection with initiative.
Read the planet contactsSquare signs do not guarantee a close square
A planet at 10° Taurus and another at 12° Aquarius have a smaller separation of 88°. Their square orb is 2° from the exact 90° angle.
At 1° Taurus and 29° Aquarius, the smaller separation is 62°. The 28° orb is outside Astriel's 5° synastry square limit.
That second example is 2° from a sextile, which falls within Astriel's limit for that contact. The degrees can describe a different aspect from the one suggested by the sign names.
These are synthetic positions. The calculator checks actual degrees and birth-time uncertainty. Sign symbolism cannot establish attraction, consent or the future of a relationship.

The sign comparison follows the owner-supplied astrology reference's element and modality definitions and sign themes. Examples are original. Advice about discussing preferences is an illustration, not a finding about the people whose charts you enter.
Orb limits come from Astriel's calculation method. Symbolic interpretation is separate from calculated geometry.
