Two-chart reference
Moon trine Mars in synastry
Moon trine Mars in synastry is read as ease between emotional needs and initiative. Near 120° apart, the contact connects what one person finds reassuring with action the other person readily takes.

Compare two birth chartsSupport can take a familiar practical form
A response can fit the need without a long explanation. The Moon recognizes a familiar form of support, and Mars has somewhere to direct effort. Ease can also make an old arrangement automatic. A response that suited yesterday's situation still needs to fit today's request.
A's Moon trine B's Mars
Person A is the first person entered in the calculator. Read A's Moon through emotional needs and B's Mars through initiative and assertion.

A feels more settled when a room is ready before guests arrive. B enjoys organizing the practical details and offers to prepare it. Taurus supplies the preference for a comfortable setting; Virgo supplies attention to tasks. The fit becomes less helpful if B keeps reorganizing after A asks for things to stay as they are.
A's Mars trine B's Moon
With A's Mars in Virgo trine B's Moon in Taurus, A carries out the task and B receives its reassurance. Both people also have their own Moon and Mars. One easy contact does not allocate all practical work to A or all emotional needs to B.
If both directions appear in your result, read each row separately. The two contacts have their own measured orb and birth-time certainty.
Read each natal chart before the interaction
Check whether familiar help is still wanted. Appreciation for a previous action does not create permanent permission to repeat it. The trine describes symbolic ease, not a guarantee that either person can anticipate every need.
Each person's natal Moon describes their own emotional style. Natal Mars describes how they act on a preference or respond to a challenge.
Moon-Mercury contacts add a theme about discussing feelings. Moon-Venus contacts concern affection and comfort.
House overlays add a separate location in the chart. In Astriel's default Placidus system, use the receiving person's calculated cusps. A Moon-Mars aspect alone does not identify either person's house.
Check the angle before interpreting it
Measure the smaller separation between the two zodiac longitudes, then its distance from 120°. Astriel includes this contact at an orb of 5° or less.
At exactly 5°, it fits the rule. At 5.1°, it falls outside. Signs alone do not establish an aspect.
The Moon's position changes during a birth-time range. A conditional contact fits the limit for only part of that range. Another possible time can put it outside the limit.
When the contact stays within the limit
A contact can remain within the allowed orb throughout the possible range while its exact orb changes. Read the reported interval instead of choosing its midpoint as an exact value.
Birth-time certainty describes the calculation. It does not measure the certainty of an interpretation or the quality of a relationship.
Attraction and conflict need their own evidence
A Moon-Mars contact cannot establish attraction, consent or a history of conflict. Direct communication and actual behavior supply that information. The interpretation does not excuse aggression or make either person responsible for preventing it.
Judge the relationship through the people involved and their actual behavior. Planetary labels do not assign gender or permanent relationship roles.
Source and method
Interpretations use the owner-supplied astrology reference, Part VI, Moon interaspects and the aspect modes. The examples are original. Claims that an angle proves attraction or emotional harm are not adopted.
Orb limits follow Astriel's relationship-v1 calculation. Synastry compares two birth charts; a composite instead uses planetary midpoints.
