Moon and Saturn aspects
Moon-Saturn aspects connect emotional needs with limits and responsibility. A conjunction joins those functions closely; squares and oppositions expose competing demands. Sextiles and trines describe ways that structure can support emotional continuity.

All five major angles are possible between the Moon and Saturn. Each uses the same 5° natal limit in Astriel. The measured separation selects the contact.
- Moon conjunct Saturn0°Care and responsibility become closely connected
- Moon sextile Saturn60°A chosen routine can support an emotional need
- Moon square Saturn90°A present need meets a competing obligation
- Moon trine Saturn120°Familiar structure supports emotional continuity
- Moon opposite Saturn180°Emotional expression and shared limits need separate attention
A missing major aspect can mean the separation falls between these limits. Astriel also checks the 30° semisextile and 150° quincunx with 2° orbs.
Use the houses to name the subject
A contact between the 4th and 10th Placidus houses links private foundations with public responsibility. Between the 2nd and 5th, it links resources with creative work. Use the calculated cusp membership; counting signs from the Ascendant would use a different method.
Other aspects can support or complicate the same topic. A Moon-Saturn trine can coexist with a Moon-Mars square. Neither contact removes the other.

Birth-time uncertainty and motion
A conditional aspect meets the selected limit for only part of the possible birth-time interval. Keep the orb range and status shown in your result.
Applying means the orb is decreasing; separating means it is increasing. Both bodies' calculated motion matters, including Saturn's retrograde motion. A still diagram cannot supply that direction.
How uncertain times are handledA natal aspect is different from a Saturn transit
This guide compares positions in one birth chart. A Saturn transit compares the moving Saturn with a saved natal position and needs a chosen date.

Interpretation uses Astriel's owner-supplied astrology reference, Part IV, Moon-Saturn and major aspects. We retain its need-and-limit comparison. Claims about conditional care, loneliness or a person's childhood are not established by an aspect.
Numerical examples and everyday scenarios are original. Orb limits follow Astriel's calculation rules. These symbolic interpretations do not establish personality or predict events. Reviewed 21 September 2026.
