Natal chart reference
Moon square Jupiter
Moon square Jupiter describes friction between what feels needed and how much someone hopes to offer or receive. A generous promise can become larger than the available time. Reading the square involves separating the intention from the commitment it creates.

Find the aspects in my chartThe wish to help can grow beyond the available capacity
The Moon may seek immediate reassurance while Jupiter looks for a broader answer. Saying that everything will work out can feel supportive without addressing the present problem. Equally, a large offer of help may leave little room to ask what would be useful. Proportion makes the support more specific.
Read the signs together
The Moon at 12° Cancer and Jupiter at 14° Libra are 92° apart. Cancer gives the Moon attention to familiar care; Libra gives Jupiter interest in including other people. Someone organising a shared meal could keep inviting guests while also wanting a quiet evening with close friends.
The conflict is between two wishes, rather than between a good and a bad impulse. Agreeing on the size of the gathering gives both wishes a place in the decision. This contact cannot establish a mood disorder, eating pattern or family history.
Check the measured angle
The example uses longitudes 102° and 194°. Their shorter separation is 92°, giving an orb of 2° from the exact 90° angle.
Synthetic positions for teaching, not a recorded birth chart.
Astriel uses the smaller of the two bodies' major-aspect limits: 8° for the Moon and 5° for Jupiter. A 5° orb is included; a larger orb is excluded. Sign names alone cannot establish the contact.
Compare the natal orb rulesUse the houses to name the subject
Across calculated Placidus houses 4 and 7, privacy and shared plans may need different arrangements. Across houses 2 and 11, personal resources meet commitments to a group. A house placement names the topic, not an inevitable problem.
Other aspects can support or complicate the same topic. A Moon-Jupiter trine can coexist with a Moon-Saturn square. Neither contact removes the other.

Birth-time uncertainty and motion
A conditional aspect meets the selected limit for only part of the possible birth-time interval. Keep the orb range and status shown in your result.
Applying means the orb is decreasing; separating means it is increasing. Both bodies' calculated motion matters, including Jupiter's retrograde motion. A still diagram cannot supply that direction.
How uncertain times are handledA natal aspect is different from a Jupiter transit
This guide compares positions in one birth chart. A Jupiter transit compares moving Jupiter with a saved natal position and needs a chosen date.
