A planet at 10° Aries and another at 12° Pisces have a smaller separation of 28°. An exact semi-sextile is 30°, but Astriel's synastry calculator currently reports the five major aspects, not semi-sextiles.
At 1° Aries and 29° Pisces, the smaller separation is 2°. That is a conjunction with a 2° orb, within Astriel's 6° conjunction limit.
