Two-chart reference
Venus square Saturn in synastry
Venus square Saturn in synastry is read as tension between affection and limits. The useful distinction is between a practical boundary and a judgment about someone's worth.

Venus concerns appreciation and what feels welcome. Saturn concerns commitments, caution and conditions. With the square, a gesture of affection can meet a response aimed at a different concern. The aspect describes a symbolic mismatch; it cannot establish that either person feels rejected.
A's Venus square B's Saturn
Person A is the first person entered in the calculator. In this contact, A supplies the affection and preference theme; B supplies the commitment and limit theme.

A wants to celebrate the relationship publicly. B prefers to keep shared news private until they have discussed it. Leo gives A's gesture a visible form; Scorpio gives B's caution a theme of privacy. Naming that concern separates disagreement about an announcement from rejection of the relationship.
A's Saturn square B's Venus
With A's Saturn in Scorpio square B's Venus in Leo, A voices the privacy boundary and B proposes the celebration. B can suggest another way to mark the occasion. A's boundary does not authorize ridicule, withholding approval or making B earn basic respect.
If both directions appear in the result, read each with its own orb and birth-time certainty. The labels do not assign gender, age or authority.
Read the interaction, then the wider chart
A boundary explains what someone will participate in. A controlling rule tries to determine what the other person is allowed to value or enjoy. The chart cannot decide which is happening; the actual words and choices provide that information.
Each person's natal Venus adds their own approach to affection. Their natal Saturn adds the limits and obligations they bring into relationships.
A house overlay answers a separate question: where one person's planet falls in the other's chart. Astriel uses the receiving person's calculated Placidus cusps by default. This aspect alone does not identify a house.
What specific concern is the limit addressing, and has it been explained without judging the other person?
Check the angle before interpreting it
Measure the smaller separation between the two zodiac longitudes, then its distance from 90°. Astriel includes this synastry contact at an orb of 5° or less.
At exactly 5°, it fits the rule. At 5.1°, it falls outside. Signs alone do not establish the contact.
Both planets move during a birth-time range. A conditional contact fits the limit for only part of that range. Use its reported interval instead of treating a midpoint as exact.
Does Saturn mean a relationship will last?
Saturn symbolizes continuity and obligation in this tradition. That symbolism cannot establish how long a relationship will last or whether staying together would be welcome.
Interpret the contact alongside actual behavior. A difficult aspect never requires accepting control or mistreatment; an easy aspect does not establish that a relationship is safe.
Source and method
These lessons adapt the owner-supplied astrology reference, Part VI, Venus interaspects and Saturn contacts. Examples are original hypothetical scenarios. Claims about marriage duration, age gaps or inevitable rejection are not adopted.
Orb limits follow Astriel's relationship-v1 calculation. A natal Venus-Saturn aspect describes one chart; synastry compares planets from two different charts.
