Natal chart reference
Sun conjunct Jupiter
Sun conjunct Jupiter connects personal direction with the wish to grow beyond current experience. An ambition can carry a sense of meaning as well as a desired result. The conjunction concentrates those functions; it does not guarantee luck or recognition.

Find the aspects in my chartA larger purpose becomes part of self-expression
The Sun describes what someone wants to develop and express. Jupiter adds a wider perspective, including the beliefs that make an aim feel worthwhile. When they occupy nearby degrees, confidence in the aim can become closely tied to confidence in oneself. Reviewing the scale of a plan need not mean abandoning its purpose.
Read the signs together
The Sun at 28° Scorpio and Jupiter at 1° Sagittarius are 3° apart. The conjunction crosses a sign boundary. Scorpio gives the Sun a concentrated interest in understanding a subject; Sagittarius gives Jupiter a wish to place it in a wider account. A researcher could want to turn a detailed local study into a public course.
The course can give the work a wider audience. Claiming the study explains every similar situation would extend its conclusions beyond the evidence. The same desire for significance can support teaching or encourage an oversized claim.
Check the measured angle
The example uses longitudes 238° and 241°. Their shorter separation is 3°, giving an orb of 3° from the exact 0° angle.
Synthetic positions for teaching, not a recorded birth chart.
Astriel uses the smaller of the two bodies' major-aspect limits: 8° for the Sun and 5° for Jupiter. A 5° orb is included; a larger orb is excluded. Sign names alone cannot establish the contact.
Compare the natal orb rulesUse the houses to name the subject
If both planets occupy calculated Placidus house 9, study or teaching supplies a shared setting. If a cusp separates houses 8 and 9, an inquiry involving shared resources can become material for wider study. Nearby planets need not share a house.
Other aspects can support or complicate the same topic. A Sun-Jupiter trine can coexist with a Sun-Saturn square. Neither contact removes the other.

Birth-time uncertainty and motion
A conditional aspect meets the selected limit for only part of the possible birth-time interval. Keep the orb range and status shown in your result.
Applying means the orb is decreasing; separating means it is increasing. Both bodies' calculated motion matters, including Jupiter's retrograde motion. A still diagram cannot supply that direction.
How uncertain times are handledA natal aspect is different from a Jupiter transit
This guide compares positions in one birth chart. A Jupiter transit compares moving Jupiter with a saved natal position and needs a chosen date.

Interpretation uses Astriel's owner-supplied astrology reference, Part IV, Sun-Jupiter and major aspects. We use its connection between purpose, expansion and overreach. Claims about luck, patrons or personal success are not treated as facts about the reader.
Numerical examples and everyday scenarios are original. Orb limits follow Astriel's calculation rules. These symbolic interpretations do not establish personality or predict events. Reviewed 21 September 2026.
