Sun and Jupiter aspects
Sun-Jupiter aspects connect personal direction with the wish to grow, learn or find meaning. The conjunction concentrates these functions. The square and opposition bring competing priorities into view; the sextile and trine describe ways they can cooperate.

All five major angles are possible between the Sun and Jupiter. Each uses the same 5° natal limit in Astriel. The measured separation selects the contact.
- Sun conjunct Jupiter0°A larger purpose becomes part of self-expression
- Sun sextile Jupiter60°A chosen opportunity can widen a personal aim
- Sun square Jupiter90°The scale of an ambition needs testing
- Sun trine Jupiter120°Confidence and a wider perspective can support each other
- Sun opposite Jupiter180°Personal direction meets a competing idea of what matters
A missing major aspect can mean the separation falls between these limits. Astriel also checks the 30° semisextile and 150° quincunx with 2° orbs.
Use the houses to name the subject
The Sun house locates an area of personal direction; the Jupiter house locates an area of expansion or learning. Across calculated Placidus houses 5 and 9, creative expression connects with study or teaching. The same signs can occupy different houses in another chart. Use the supplied cusp membership.
Other aspects can support or complicate the same topic. A Sun-Jupiter trine can coexist with a Sun-Saturn square. Neither contact removes the other.

Birth-time uncertainty and motion
A conditional aspect meets the selected limit for only part of the possible birth-time interval. Keep the orb range and status shown in your result.
Applying means the orb is decreasing; separating means it is increasing. Both bodies' calculated motion matters, including Jupiter's retrograde motion. A still diagram cannot supply that direction.
How uncertain times are handledA natal aspect is different from a Jupiter transit
This guide compares positions in one birth chart. A Jupiter transit compares moving Jupiter with a saved natal position and needs a chosen date.

Interpretation uses Astriel's owner-supplied astrology reference, Part IV, Sun-Jupiter and major aspects. We use its connection between purpose, expansion and overreach. Claims about luck, patrons or personal success are not treated as facts about the reader.
Numerical examples and everyday scenarios are original. Orb limits follow Astriel's calculation rules. These symbolic interpretations do not establish personality or predict events. Reviewed 21 September 2026.
